Thursday, March 30 – Bus Tour of Houston; Dinner at Vincent’s

9:15 am: Bus at Lobby Level of Hilton Americas on the East Rotunda (East Drive).

9:30 am: Departure of Houston Bus Tour.

1 pm: Lunch at Monument Inn Restaurant on the Port of Houston waterway –Lunch

     ordered and paid for individually at the table.

3: 30 – 4 pm: Return by bus to Hilton Americas from tour and lunch.

6 pmBus at Lobby Level of Hilton Americas on the East Rotunda (East Drive).

6:30 pm: Departure of bus from Hilton Americas for Vincent’s Restaurant.

7 pm: Dinner at Vincent’s, 2701 W. Dallas St., Houston, (cash bar; bring credit card).

Friday, March 31 – Menil Collection, Canopy Restaurant, & Bayou Bend

9:00 amBus at Lobby Level of Hilton Americas on the East Rotunda (East Drive).

9:30 am: Departure of bus from hotel to start day’s activities.

10 am – Noon: Tour of Menil Collection. Rothko Chapel & Cy Twombly Gallery.

12:30 pm – Lunch at Canopy Restaurant, 3939 Montrose Blvd., Houston.

2 pm: Bayou Bend Museum. Walk in gardens and then tour collection at 2:45.

4 – 4:30 pm: Return by bus to Hilton Americas.

(Dinner and evening unplanned. See Downtown Restaurant list in Packet. This evening at 8 pm, the Neuhaus Theatre – at the Alley Theatre --  presents “An Act of God,” Broadway’s Smash Comedy Hit, box office 713-220-5700); and the Houston Symphony, 713-224-7575, Jones Hall, 615 Louisiana, Houston, presents Beethoven’s Fidelio.

 Saturday, April 1 – Houston Museum of Natural Science; Hugo’s Restaurant

9 am: Take Light Rail to Museum District and back again to Hilton in afternoon.  

9:30 – 11:30 am: Docent tours of the Houston Museum of Natural Science.

(Lunch and afternoon open – Information in the Packet about restaurants in the Museum District, as well as about the many museums to explore.)

 After 1:30 pm: Missy will be “At Home” to welcome classmates. She lives on the 20th floor with a panoramic view of the city (1701 N. Hermann St., Apt. 20G), a short distance from the Museum District, a lovely walk beside Centennial Gardens.)

4 pmBus at Lobby Level of Hilton Americas on the East Rotunda (East Drive).

4:30 pm: Bus from the Hilton Americas to Hugo’s Restaurant.

5 pm: Dinner at Hugo’s, 1600 Westheimer Rd., (cash bar; cash or credit card).      

8 pm: Bus back to Hilton Americas.

Sunday, April 2 – Final Gathering

9 amBuffet ($22) breakfast in a reserved area in Hilton Americas restaurant.

11:30: Bird Watching trip leaves for the Gulf.

NOTE: ThursdayFriday, and Saturday mornings from 7 – 7:30, and onwards. there will be a reserved section for us in the Hilton Americas restaurant. Breakfast fare is also available at the Starbucks in the hotel lobby
